How to Participate
There are three ways you can choose from to participate in the Virtual Institute.
INDIVIDUAL
You can participate in the program on your own and connect with other virtual students from around the world.
INDIVIDUAL + ONE
You can participate in the program alongside a trusted friend or family member.
SMALL GROUP
You can participate in the program in a small group of other Christ-followers - perhaps an existing Bible study or discipleship group.
LARGE GROUP
If you are a pastor or church leader, consider taking your staff or key leaders through the program together.
Cost & Commitment
Tuition for the Virtual Institute is $900.
The Institute consists of 34 weeks of teaching, with four hours of class video each week. The cost of the program is $900 which can be broken down into $100/month payments.

Group Pricing is as follows:
Small group (3-9): $700 per student
Large group (10+): $600 per student

Who is the Downline Institute for?
The Downline Institute is for any committed follower of Christ who wants to learn to grow their understanding of Scripture and make disciples in their homes, churches and communities. The Downline Institute is an interdenominational, multi-ethnic, multi-generational program that brings Christ-followers from all over the community together to learn how to make discipleship a lifestyle for a lifetime.
when does the new class year start?
The 2025-2026 Downline Institute will begin in late August 2025 and continue through early May 2026.
how do i participate virtually?
We have two ways students can participate with us virtually:
1. Live Stream– this virtual option allows students to participate alongside the Downline Memphis Institute via a private Vimeo link every week.
2. On Demand – this virtual option allows students to participate at their own pace via recorded video of the Memphis Institute teachings.
What is the class schedule?
Students who choose to participate via Live Stream will follow the same schedule as the Memphis Institute:
Mondays, 6:30 p.m. CT – 8:30 p.m. CT
Wednesdays, 5:45 a.m. CT – 7:45 a.m. CT
We occasionally have an additional class each month on a Tuesday or Friday. Information will be provided accordingly.
What will we study?
In the Fall, we begin our time by doing an overview of the Bible. We then focus on the entire narrative of the Old Testament, highlighting Genesis, Joshua, I Samuel and Daniel, as well as other Old Testament books. In the spring, we cover Matthew, Lukan Parables, Romans, Ephesians, Hebrews, II Timothy and Revelation. In addition to studying books of the Bible, we also train Institute students in biblical discipleship principles and biblical manhood & womanhood.

Will I have homework?
The Downline Institute requires four hours per week of class time, with an additional two hour class that meets once a month. To fulfill your Institute commitment, we also ask that you keep up with Scripture reading, memorize a verse of Scripture and re-teaching several lessons each month. When you commit to the Downline Institute, you aren’t just committing to take in the Word of God, but to understand and transfer what you are learning into the lives of others!
Can I still hear the teaching if I have to miss a live stream class?
Yes! All of our students have access to the video recordings of the class teachings so you can catch up if you miss a class or want to revisit a topic for further study. In addition, after you graduate from the Institute you’ll have life-time access to the content.

The total cost of the Downline Virtual Institute is $900 which can be broken down into $100/month payments.
Are there scholarships available?
No one is denied access to the Downline Institute based on their ability to pay. We do offer tuition assistance in qualified cases. Assistance will be discussed and determined during the interview process.
Can I get course credit for going through the program?
Yes! We have established several partnerships with colleges and seminaries around the country to provide Downline Institute participants with the opportunity to receive credit for their participation in the Institute. You can find out more information here.
